Sam de Silva is a cultural worker who is currently involved with The Paper, a broadsheet of independent news and opinion in Melbourne, Australia and facilitates the independent Internet server myspinach.org. During his spare time, Sam is researching for his Masters on surveillance and facial analysis at the Animation and Interactive Media Centre at RMIT, Melbourne. He is interested in the possibility of an alternate paradigm for communication, education and understanding, which crosses social, cultural and geographical boundaries.
