MediaArtLab (Russia)
MediaArtLab is: Alexei Isaev and Olga Shishko (directors), Olga Rumyantseva (PR manager), and Tatiana Gorucheva, Irina Lavrukhina, Antonina Titova (coordinators). Alexei Isaev is a media artist and theorist. He was the curator of the art resource ‘Da-Da-Net’ festival in the Runet (http://www.da-da-net.ru), and organizer of the first International Festival of Experimental Video, Computer Animation and Projective Synthesis. He has participated in many international events, including: ISEA-98 REVOLUTION London–Manchester (1998), ‘It’s a better world’ in Secession Museum, Vienna, Austria; Art Forum Gallery in Mirano, Italy (1997); European Contemporary Art Biennale ‘Manifesta 1’, Rotterdam, Holland ... and others. Olga Shishko is a specialist in new technology art and curator of the ‘MediaArtLab’ programme in the SCCA, Moscow; curator of the first Russian art resources ‘Da-Da-Net’ Festival; curator of the ‘Contemporary Art on the Internet’ programme (EVA-Moscow), member of the international jury of the ‘Art on the Net’ Internet festival (Japan, curator – Tetsuo Kogawa, 1998–99), editor of the ‘NewMediaLogia – NewMediaTopia’ catalogue (1996); curator of the multimedia studio ‘Cross-media’ (SCCA and ‘Termen Center’, Moscow Conservatoire, 1995–96), coordinator of the project ‘Art Laboratory of New Media’ (1993–94). Olga Rumyantseva graduated from Lomonosow Moscow State Universyty, mass media department (MA). Member of the AICA. Curator of the Museum Management programme (SCCA). Curator of the international seminar "Contemporary Art and International Partnership"(Moscow). Tatiana Gorucheva is a critic and curator in a field of media art. Graduated from the Moscow State University (art history and theory department). Postgraduate student in the Institute of Arts History, Moscow. Coordinator of the 'DA-DA-Net' festival. Irina Lavrukhina is an art historian, critic and curator.Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Russia (art history and theory department).MSc in Art Management (Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences and Gordon University, UK) and PhD in Art History (Academy of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Russia). Coordinator of the Anthology of Russian video art (book and series of video tapes) project. Antonina Titova graduated from Moscow State University. Media Forum and Share Media Collection projects coordinator. Archivist-secretary at the Center’s Mediatheque. |
