Born in 1973 in Klagenfurt, Austria. Studied at the University of Vienna (Slavistic and Women's Studies) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Lives and works in Vienna as an artist, writer and political activist, in collaboration with Alexander Brener. Together they sometimes visit and participate (uninvited) in art exhibitions. Recently attended the Manifesta 3 opening in Ljubljana, contributing a can of spraypaint to the collection. In between actions, Brener and Schurz have published some books, most recently "What to Do: 54 Technologies of Resistance" (1999), and "Demolish Serious Culture!" (2000).
